"I like working with students... I feel like I am making a difference."
What do you like best about your position?
I like working with the academic enrichment programs that have a positive impact on young people. I feel like I am making a difference and enjoy watching them succeed. There are a lot of good young people coming up behind us as our future leaders.
What time do you arrive at work? What time do you leave work?
I arrive at 8:00 a.m. and leave at 4:30 p.m. Occasionally, I will work weekend or evening events.
Why did you choose Lehigh University as your employer of choice?
Lehigh not only offers a high quality education and a lot of opportunities for its students, but it also offers a lot of great opportunities for its employees. The sky is the limit at Lehigh University.
What Lehigh University events and activities have you participated in beyond your
department to become a more active member of the Lehigh community?
I have gotten involved in the Lehigh Colleges Against Cancer campaign. The students are amazing and have creative/inventive ideas. My family and I have attended sport and Zoellner events over the years. Also, my children attended summer camps, both academic and sports.
What is your favorite location on campus and why?
I like the Asa Packer Campus in general. I enjoy the history and architecture. There is a lot of excitement and energy in the air when classes are in session.
What do you like best about working for an academic institution?
I like working with the students and in a collegic environment; I feel like I am part of something bigger than myself.
