The Lehigh Strategy Champion Awards recognize faculty and staff who demonstrate exceptional commitment to advancing Lehigh University’s strategic plan through their leadership, innovation, and collaboration. These are non-monetary recognition awards, intended to highlight and celebrate meaningful contributions that strengthen Lehigh’s future.
Nominations Are Open
Faculty and staff are invited to nominate colleagues (individuals and/or teams) for recognition as Lehigh Strategy Champions. Nominations are accepted on a rolling basis.

Producing work that contributes to Lehigh’s strategic goals -
Innovation and Initiative
Demonstrating creativity, initiative, or leadership in advancing the Lehigh Strategy -

Working effectively across departments, teams, or stakeholder groups to achieve Lehigh’s strategic goals -
Measurable Impact
Producing tangible outcomes or results -
Sustainability
Work that has a lasting impact on Lehigh’s future
Nominate a Colleague or Team
Any Lehigh faculty or staff member may nominate a colleague or team. There are two types of awards:
The Puffy Hawk Award – Recognizing everyday innovation, collaboration, and culture-building aligned with strategic goals.
The Asa Packer Bust Award – Honoring significant, high-impact achievements or breakthroughs that leave a lasting mark on Lehigh’s future.
Submit your nominations through the official form. Your submission should include a detailed description of the nominee’s contributions to the Lehigh Strategy as well as examples of measurable impact and outcomes. You may also include optional supporting materials such as letters of support and project documentation.
