Voluntary Benefits are products that Lehigh employees can take advantage of if they wish. Lehigh offers these products as a service, however, we do not manage your relationship with each vendor.

Accident Insurance through AFLAC
Lehigh employees can purchase accident insurance through AFLAC at favorable group rates. This insurance is designed to pay designated amounts to the enrollee based on the type of accidental injury experienced. The funds can be used to help cover expenses not paid for through health insurance.

Critical Illness Insurance through AFLAC
Lehigh employees can purchase critical illness insurance with favorable group rates through AFLAC. This insurance is designed to pay a lump sum in the case of certain speciic critical illnesses, including cancer, stroke and heart attack.

Long Term Care Insurance
Lehigh employees can purchase long term care insurance from Genworth Financial. This insurance is designed to pay for covered expenses incurred for long term care services whether received at home, in the community, or in a nursing facility. Newly hired Lehigh employees may buy this coverage at competitive group rates with no medical underwriting, depending on your age and selected plan, during the first 30 days of employment.

Personal Insurance with Liberty Mutual 
Eligible university employees can purchase personal insurance through payroll deduction from the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. The benefits of the program include a twenty percent discount on auto and homeowner's rates, a twelve-month payroll deduction plan, annual policies, no down-payment to start a policy, no finance charges, and free roadside assistance.

Pet Insurance
Discounted pet insurance through Capital Blue Cross is available for all Lehigh faculty and staff members.
