Bulk Moving Candidates

PageUp provides the option to send regrets to multiple disqualified candidates at once, or to move multiple candidates forward in the process at once.

For reporting reasons, it's important to use accurate reason codes when removing candidates from the candidate pool. When sending multiple regrets at once, group together individuals by their reason for removal. Please do not select the same reason code for all candidates dismissed.

Reason codes include:

  • Unrealistic salary expectations
  • Does not meet minimum educational requirements
  • Does not possess the necessary subject matter expertise

Moving Multiple Candidates Forward in the Process

Accessing PageUp
Accessing Applications
  • Click the Administration link that’s located under the blue Recruitment/Position Description heading

    • The Administration area of the system will open as a tiled dashboard in a new window

  • Click Jobs (at the top of the screen)

  • Click the blue linked title of the position

  • Click View Applications (in the upper right-hand corner)

    • The Applicant Progress Board may display

    • If so, select Manage Applications (in the upper right hand corner) to view applications

Selecting Candidates to Move Forward
  • Three radio buttons display to the left of each candidate’s name in the applicant pool

    • Select the green radio button next to the names of all candidates who are moving forward

  • Click the Select a bulk option drop down menu at the top of the screen

  • Select Bulk move from the drop down menu

Choosing a Status
  • Select a new status based on the point in the process at which the candidates are being moved to; for example:

    • If you want to schedule them for a first round phone/Zoom interview and have already set up the event in the system, select Phone/Zoom Interview Event Booking

      • Note: If you have not set up the event, you will need to do that first

    • If they have completed an initial phone or Zoom interview, select On campus interview Event Booking.

      • This may also be used for a second interview that's conducted via Zoom

    • If you are unsure if you want to move them forward and are waiting for feedback from other members involved in your search, select Requires further review

    • If you plan to interview them, but are not taking advantage of the booking and events module, select Interview not using booking and events

Booking and Events
  • Click the blue Next button

    • If using the booking and events module:

      • Select the interview event by clicking the magnifying glass to the right of the event field

      • Click the appropriate event

      • Click OK

    • Next you can either

      • Select the booking on behalf of the candidate if you have already agreed upon a date and time, or

      • Send them an invitation to select their own interview time from a list of event slots you created when you created the event

    • The email to the selected candidates will display

Final Steps
  • Click Move now

  • The selected candidates’ statuses will change when the pool updates

    • Select the red radio button next to the names of all candidates who are disqualified for the same reason

  • Click the Select a bulk option drop down menu at the top of the screen

  • Select Bulk move from the drop down menu

Choosing an Unsuccessful Status
  • Select an unsuccessful status based on the point in the process at which the candidates are being eliminated; for example:

    • If they did not complete any interviews, select Screen Unsuccessful

    • If they completed an initial phone or Zoom interview, select Phone/Video Screen Unsuccessful

    • If they completed a second interview or finalist interview, select On campus interview unsuccessful

    • If they met with the senior leader of an area after a finalist interview, select Finalist interview unsuccessful
Final Steps
  • Click the blue Next button

    • The email to the selected candidates will display

  • Scroll down and select an Unsuccessful reason 

    • Choose the same reason identified when selecting the radio buttons (salary, education, etc.)

    • Please do not select the same reason code for all candidates dismissed

  • Click Move now

  • The selected candidates’ statues will change when the pool updates

  • Repeat this process for any additional reasons for disqualifying candidates from the search
