Re-Evaluation Requests

A. Informal Re-Evaluation Requests

An informal re-evaluation is used when the changes are not substantial, such as:

  • More of the same kinds of duties/responsibilities
  • Additional duty/duties requiring the same skill level
  • Change in hours or FTE
  • Minor wordsmithing

 

B. Formal Re-Evaluation Requests

A formal re-evaluation is used when changes are substantial enough to possibly warrant a change in salary and/or grade, such as:

  • Edits to the accountabilities that are truly new/different (not more of the same kinds of duties/responsibilities)
  • Addition or removal of accountabilities
  • Educational requirements 
  • Years of experience

 

A. Informal Re-evaluation Request Process

Accessing PageUp
Accessing the Position Description
  • Click the Administration link that’s located under the blue Recruitment/Position Description heading

    • The Administration area of the system will open as a tiled dashboard in a new window

  • Click Manage Position Descriptions

  • A list of your direct reports will appear

  • Click the View link to the right of the employee’s record you want to review

Making Changes to the PD
  • Click the three dot button (in the upper right corner, directly to the right of the Recruit for position button)

  • Select Copy Position Description

  • In the search box (under the Organization Information section)

    • Enter the incumbent or position number starting with the letter S 

    • Hit Enter

    • If the position is vacant, it may not be found in the search box. If this is the case, type the position number into theTemporary Position Number field.

  • Click the position title (under the search box) to ensure the correct incumbent has been selected

  • Enter all pertinent information

    • Fields marked with asterisks (*) are required to move forward in the process

  • Continue completing fields until reaching the Change Reasons section

Final Steps
  • Under the Change Reasons section:

    • From the drop down menu, choose Informal Re-evaluation 

    • Enter the reason for updates in the text box

  • Navigate to the Users and Approvers section 

    • The supervisor’s name should appear in the Hiring Supervisor field

      •  If it does not

        • Click the eraser button 

        • Enter your name into the search field

        • Hit Enter

    • Select Informal Re-evaluation from the approval process drop down list. DO NOT CHOOSE A STEM OR DEPARTMENT HERE.

    • Anthony Nails should appear in the Human Resources Approvals and the HR Rep sections

    • Click Save and exit if finished

    • To add notes or upload documents

      • Click Next Page

      • Add notes or upload documents

  • Click Save when finished

B. Formal Re-evaluation Request Process

  • Enter the reason for updates in the open text box below

Users and Approvers Section
  • Go to the Users and Approvers section 

  • The hiring manager’s name should appear in the Hiring Supervisor field  

    • If it does not

      • Click the eraser button 

      • Enter the hiring manager’s name into the search field

      • Hit enter

      • The hiring manager’s email address should appear in the blue box below
         

  • Choose the appropriate stem from the Approval Process drop down list 

    • Note: if the incorrect stem is chosen, the request will be cancelled and will need to be resubmitted.

  • Enter the hiring manager’s name into the Supervisor field

  • Hit enter

    • The supervisor’s address should appear in the blue box below.

  • Some of the Approvers will be prepopulated  

    • Do not change these approvers  

    • If there are blanks

      • Enter the name of the appropriate approver 

      • Hit enter

      • Their email address should appear in the blue box below

  • Human Resources Approvals (inemploy@lehigh.edu) should appear in the HR section 

  • HR Rep should be Anthony Nails

Final Steps
  • Navigate to the scroll bar (to the right of the approvers)

  • Review list for accuracy, ensuring that all approvers are listed

  • Click Save and Exit if finished

  • To add notes or upload documents

    • Click Next Page 

    • Add notes and/or upload documents

  • Click Save when finished
