When we catch someone in the act of being awesome at Lehigh, we like to let them know. That’s why we have three levels of awards to acknowledge the variety of ways that employees make Lehigh stronger.

COVID-19 (CORONAVIRUS) UPDATE
Due to the current events surrounding the Coronavirus and its effect on the campus as a whole, no Spot Bonus or Tradition of Excellence nominations are being accepted at this time. A decision will be made at a later date as to when the nomination process will open back up.

These awards recognize staff members (both individuals and teams) who demonstrate outstanding behaviors or produce exceptional results. Recipients receive a $150 check, a medallion, and recognition in Spotlight. Anyone at Lehigh can nominate a staff for a TEA.
Spot Bonus Awards provide a timely cash bonus ranging from $300 to $3,000 to staff members who have contributed significantly to attaining a discrete and ambitious goal or task above and beyond what we would normally expect. Only supervisors can nominate employees for Spot Bonus Awards.
The highest university employee recognition, the LU Awards are presented in May at the Lehigh Appreciation Dinner. These awards are recognition for proven and sustained excellence over a longer period of time. Each University Award has a unique set of criteria.
